The exhibition also includes a comprehensive look at the activities of the ROJO Society, of which Fujimori was a founding member. Other members include Genpei Akasegawa, Shinbo Minami, Tetsuo Matsuda, and Joji Hayashi. The group assembled photographs and printed materials related to their early activities and mounted them in the gallery. Their practice of collecting objects and structures that reveal unnecessary beauty in the midst of the city is at an opposite pole from the conscious fabrication of artworks. This exhibition traces the architecture that Fujimori describes as "advancing toward the past rather than the future" and shows the achievements of the ROJO Society, providing us with an opportunity to reexamine the cites in which we live.
