The exhibition begins by looking back to 1864 when Japan and Switzerland established diplomatic relations. Woodblock prints and other materials attesting to the interaction between the two countries are displayed along with an outline of the country presented through an examination of the design of the Swiss Cross and familiar designs that symbolise Switzerland, including Swiss passports and banknotes.
